Beyond.

Posted by: tramylt on: February 4, 2009

I’ve just read few short stories. It’s interested that I’ve leaned how to use the word “beyond“. For example:

- The place is beautiful beyond belief.

or

- The past was beyond repair.

So we get the use of “beyond” :

to be beyond + N : sth be uncontrollable or under forcast.

Why is the study of economics important?

Posted by: tramylt on: January 14, 2009

Many benefits can be gained from studying economics. First, economics deals with vital current problems such as inflation, unemployment, monopply, economic growth, pollution and poverty. Economics is a problem-oriented social science, and the problems with which it is especially concerned are among the most disturbing of our age. They fill our newspapers and pervade ou politics. We like to be knowledgeable about a part of society that so many feel is important. Not only is economics relevant to the big problems of society, but it also relates to personal problems – wages, unemployment, the cost of living, taxes and so on.

Second, the accomplishments of economics have established it as the most successful social science. For examples, yours is the first generation never to have experienced a major depression. No other social science has had equivalent success in applying reason to the shaping of humanity’s destiny. Our nation has a Council of Economic Advisers; no such pernament agency exists for any other social science. In addition, in January of every year The Economic Report of the President is presented to Congress.

Honesty & Clarity

Posted by: tramylt on: January 9, 2009

Honesty does not mean simply speaking your mind. Honesty means to be very clear about everything going on inside you. Where there is honesty, feelings become pure and clean. Honesty is where there are no other thoughts or feelings inside, other than those that God himself would have. Such clarity is reflected in your words; they will be filled with the power of truth, and spoken with ease and without hesitation. The genuine honesty cultivated within you is what will reach out and touch others…

Failure or Experience?

A friend of mine complained that he had such many things to learn, especially English. He regrets that he didn’t spend enough time to study English well. When desires a higher position with higher salary and higher power, being bad at English has pulled him back.

When he was a student, he just wanted to earn money as much as possible. That helped he gain more experience and be more wisdom in life. Working under high presure seemed to be the good way to be more matured. He was proud of what he could do.

Reading Section – EXPOSURE

Posted by: tramylt on: January 3, 2009

Exposure, or hypothermia, can happen when it’s cold outside. Exposure make someone’s body temperature less than 33,7 C. In a mild wild, hypothermia can set in quickly if a person is wet. At 15 C it can take only an hour.

When afftected by exposure, a person can’t stop shivering. They can also feel stiff. He or she may act mixed up. If his or her stomach becomes cold, it is very serious. You must warm them. A sleeping bag is good way to do this. Some people may pass out. When someone is mixed up or has passed out, warm them slowly. Sudden warming could shock and kill them.

Reading Section – MILK.

Posted by: tramylt on: January 3, 2009

Eight to ten thousand years ago, people’s bodies began to change so they could drink animal’s milk. This happened after people began keeping animals. These people were in Europe, the Middle East and parts Africa. Milk became an important food.

People coundn’t always depend on milk, though. Animals only have milk for part of the year. When baby animals grow bigger, their mothers’ milk dries up. Also, milk only keeps for a short time.

In order to have milk-based food all year, people learned to make cheese. THey used a small piece of the animal’s stomach. They found that this thickened the milk. When the thichkened milk dired, they could store it for five or ten years.

Welcome 2009 ! [From HH's Blog]

Posted by: tramylt on: January 3, 2009

So 2008 is over and we, the human, are welcoming 2009. There are so many things happened to me during 2007 and 2008. Every events – every corners of life. Someone say people will be more matured and can learn much more from their failures than from their success. For this opinion, I saw and experience its meaning. For many times, people lives just go up and down, like a sine curve, from recession to development, peak performance and then recession again.

In 2006 and 2007, world and Vietnam economy develop too hot that it created so many bubble, people are so subjective and excited with past and current victory that they forget on the other sides of the peak is the down-turn. In 2008, we paid for our illusion, dis-orientation, unexperienced and naivety.
