I searched on the web that issue but it was hard to figure out all of the content. Then, I looked for the same material in Vietnamese and fortunately, almost problems could be come over.

It’s so difficult to descript these forward words in English, so I put their meaning in Vietnamese.  I found out many amazing things and they are easier to remember than ever. Wish you get too. Cheer !

1. Subprime Mortgage Crisis : “cuộc khủng hoảng thế chấp dưới chuẩn”

-> we have:

+ subprime : under / beyond sth
+ Mortage : “thế chấp”
+ Crisis: “cuộc khủng hoảng”

2. Credit Crunch : “nợ dưới chuẩn”

-> we have another related funny word: CREDIT CRUNCH MENU – meaning that the price of food and drinks increased significantly because of the inflation and this crisis.

3. Government Bail-out: “Sự hỗ trợ của chính phủ”

-> Bail-out ~ support.

4. Security Market: Thị trường chứng khoán

-> Security: chứng khoán
-> Securitisation : nghiệp vụ chứng khoán hoá

5. Special Purpose Vehicle : “Các công ty có mục đích đặc biệt”

6. Mortgage baked obligations: “danh mục cho vay thế chấp”

- The place is beautiful beyond belief.

So we get the use of “beyond” :

to be beyond + N : sth be uncontrollable or under forcast.

Well, still these difficulties in writing and expressing ideas, I will try my best. This term I have to learn Translation, it means that i have no time for relaxing and being subjective.

1. Terminology [n]

- special words and expressions used in particular subject.

- I learned this word while studying International Payment. The teacher helped us to be clear about the particular words in both English and Vietnames. That’s good! Some time I find it’s easier to remember if you learn a word throughout another one.

2. Perception [n]

- the way you notice things, especially with sense.

- this word is in a survey of ACCA. Oh, there were so many questions I had to complete And so many ones I did not absolutely understand. This word is a classic example.

3. Know-how [n]

- practical knowledge or ability.

- Well, it’s so intersting when i found this word. In class Transfer  Technology, the professor made a comparison between SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY. He used that word to figure out the difference. I do like this word !

4. Traitor [n]

- person who betrays their friends.

- It’s a sad memories. My old friend said to me “you’re traitor”  It’s so painful inside when someone said you that. Such an unforgetable word !

A friend of mine complained that he had such many things to learn, especially English. He regrets that he didn’t spend enough time to study English well. When desires a higher position with higher salary and higher power, being bad at English has pulled him back.

When he was a student, he just wanted to earn money as much as possible. That helped he gain more experience and be more wisdom in life. Working under high presure seemed to be the good way to be more matured. He was proud of what he could do.

When getting older, he realized that he had to pay the price for past mistakes. He might get much experience from his work but he didn’t have a base of knowledge. He had to learn from his failures. Everything seemed to be hard. When he wanted to learn more, he had no time to complete it though he got much money.

“Think twice before doing anything“, he said, “ ’cause you’d never know what happen in the future, how diffcult the life is, so you have to study as well as you can. It doesnt mean that you have to spend all day learning something, voraciously reading a book and… do nothing else. Strive to learn what you love to and do it passionately. It’s important make a right decision at the right moment. Don’t be hurry to earn money unless you prepare enough for your job“.

It’s so funny if you realize that you just want to quit the school and desire to earn money when you are a student;  afterthat you began to regret you didn’t study well. People always like to come back to the past and know all about the future while they do nothing right in the present. We call the “failure” EXPERIENCE and never success !
